Ranger introduces a Screen Saver for your computer. Now you can have
all the photos of the quality Ranger products displayed on your screen. The
complete product line - Amateur, Citizens Band, and
Business Band - will continually change and display photos while
your computer is "At Rest". And you have your choice. You can down
load the complete product line, CB radios only or Ham radios only. Add a difference
to your computer by down loading these screen savers.
To make the down loading and installation easier, print this page before starting. Then you will have the directions always at hand for the step-by-step procedures.
1. From the list below (The Programs), choose the category of program that you desire
- Complete Line, Ham Only, or CB Only.
2. Move cursor over that choice and click to down load.
3. The "Save As" screen will be displayed.
4. Select the "Windows" folder of your computer.
5. Click "Save"
The Ranger Screen Saver is now saved on your computer.
NOTE: Web browsers automatically display down loaded files with recognized extensions, such as *.html, *.gif or *.jpg . However *.exe is sometimes not recognized; so, some browsers will then ask whether to save the file to disk or down load a plug-in for viewing files with this extension. Choose the "save to disk" option.
Attention Netscape Navigator users: hold down the Shift key while clicking your down load link. Typically, Navigator saves *.exe files to disk, but in some rare cases Navigator will display *.exe files as "random" text. Holding down the Shift key forces Navigator to save to disk.
After the program has been saved, it is now necessary to install it on your computer.
1. Move cursor to the bottom left of your screen to the "Start" button.
2. Left click the mouse.
3. Highlight and left click "Run".
4. Type in the name of the version that you downloaded:
Ranger1.exe or Ranger2.exe or Ranger3.exe
5. Click "Install"
6. After successful installation, the "Success" Screen will be displayed
7. Click "Yes" to open the "Display Control Panel"
8. The "Display Properties Screen" will be shown.
9. Click the "Screen Saver" tab.
10. Under the Screen Saver Selection, choose "Ranger"
11. Move cursor over "Apply" and left click the mouse.
12. Click "OK"
The Ranger Screen Saver is now installed and running on your computer.
